LESSON VIII

  • Adjectives: Gender and Number
  • Adjectives will agree in gender and number with the noun they modify.
  • Adjectives are used in two ways and in two positions
  • Attributive - comes after the noun it modifes and agrees in gender, number, and definiteness.
  • Predicative - precedes the nounand agrees in gender and number, but never has the definite article.

  • Adjective Use Summary

  • Substantive - used as a noun
